The team that looks over Digital Harbor Foundation is comprised of some of the most forward-looking innovators in education, technology, invention, and business. We are proud of our ability to connect learners and leaders in innovation at every level.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Sean Lane is a unique blend of leader, inventor, strategist and philanthropist. He founded the Digital Harbor Foundation in 2011 to provide educational and professional opportunities for the next generation of great Baltimore technology talent to help our community become a tech destination city.

Rachel Charlesworth is the former Executive Director of the Digital Harbor Foundation. Rachel brought with her numerous years of fundraising and special events experience and assists with the development of the organization’s programs. In addition to her work at the Digital Harbor Foundation, she actively fundraises for the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDSA).

Guy Filippelli is a Managing Partner at Oxpoint Holdings and CEO of Berico Technologies, a firm that specializes in solving “hard-problem” technical challenges for the military, intelligence, and homeland defense sectors. Guy served nine years as an Army officer, with assignments in Europe, Korea, and Afghanistan, and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.

Chris Hoyt is an experienced professional in the field of finance and corporate development for the private business sector. He joined the Digital Harbor Foundation Board of Trustees with over 4 years of experience as a Board Member for Virginians for Sensible Energy Policies from 2006 to 2010.

David Stone has more than 20 years of experience in the field of special education. He is the Director of Operations for Special Education at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. He sits on the Maryland Association of Boards of Education, the Steering Committee of the Council of Urban Boards of Education, and the Maryland Association of Nonpublic Special Education Facilities.

Vince Talbert is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of marketing, technology and financial services experience including co-founding Bill Me Later and being named IAB’s 1999 “Marketer of the Year”. As a lifelong Baltimore area resident, he is committed to establishing Baltimore as the world leading hub of education innovation and entrepreneurship.

EMERITUS

Craig Cummings has over 20 years of leadership experience in the U.S. military, Intelligence Community and private sector. As a distinguished graduate of West Point and of Columbia University’s GSAS where he earned his M.A., M.Phil, and Ph.D. in Econometrics and Political Science, Craig appreciates the value of an advanced education and is dedicated to the Digital Harbor Foundation’s mission.

Rodney Foxworth is a writer and nonprofit consulant.

Susan Malone is executive director of WideAngle Youth Media.

Christine Johnson is founder and chief executive strategist of DiversiTech.

Tom Murdock is a teacher and chief architect at Moodlerooms.

Dean Groom is professor at Macquarie Univ, co founder of Massively Minecraft.

Chris Lehmann is founding principal of Science Leadership Academy in Philadelphia.

Christopher Sessums is chief learning officer of xlm-design.

Mary Beth Hertz is a teacher and co founder of the EdCamp Foundation.

Mike Brenner is a web developer, co founder of Betamore.

Kevin Tame is director of design and technology at Teach for America.

Don Abrams is a programmer, co creator of #edpain.
